The Wey Gallery 2024 - Solo Exhibition 'Stories Unbound'

Untitled 2

Gallery Front

It has now come to the end of my solo exhibition, 'Stories Unbound' which was exhibited at the wonderful Wey Gallery in Godalming. I can't thank Julie and Clare enough for curating it and for providing me with this magical opportunity. The exhibition was made up of 21 of my paper and book sculptures, each one unique to the next and inspired by fairytales and classic stories.

FRESH: Art Fair September 2022

It was such a fabulous opportunity when The Wey Gallery took a selection of my book sculptures along with them to the Fresh Art Fair which was held at Ascot Racecourse. What was even more wonderful, many of them went to loving new homes. A fantastic art fair, with so much stunning art work to see. A huge thank you to The Wey Gallery.

It was a magical evening celebrating my solo exhibition with a private view back in August. I felt extremely honored exhibiting my art work at such a stunning venue. The exhibition ran throughout August and September and during this time I was also able to deliver an art workshop to the many visitors that came to the castle. A huge thank you to all of the staff at the Castle who were so supportive and provided me with this wonderful opportunity.

I'm excited to announce that I will be exhibiting a series of my new paper and book sculptures at the magical Highcliffe Castle in Dorset. The exhibition will run throughout all of August during the Castle's opening hours. Please visit my Instagram page for more details 'Pippa Burnard'.

A New Exhibition Of Work.

Over the past year I have been working on a small series of new book and paper sculptures. These sculptures have been inspired by various classic stories and themes that are an important part of our history; from Alice in Wonderland to Wooings and Weddings. I have incorporated trinkets and curios, all discovered from my previous treasure hunting excursions, whether from antique shops or wonderful vintage sellers discovered on Instagram. I have lovingly collected these objects which each hold their own narrative in readiness to tell a new story.

My most recent collection is now on display in Attico's newest bespoke gallery and shop which is located in Westbourne within the wonderful Victorian arcade.

I am excited to be working on another series of sculptures which will be displayed and housed in antique glass cases. These sculptures will be based on classic stories, such as, Jungle Book, Jack and the Bean Stalk and Around the World in 80 Days.
